Disquiet- lack of calm, peace, or ease; anxiety; uneasiness. to deprive of calmness, equanimity, or peace; disturb;make uneasy: The news disquieted him.
Sometimes we are robbed of peace, and ease.. We try to take steps ahead of Christ and make our own plan (Like maybe He forgot to tell us our plan, I mean He IS the creator of the universe He has a lot of things to think about.)
To be disquiet ,I believe, is not something God wants for you or I. Being patient and waiting for God to let you in on the next part of His plan is not always easy..
I have a new way of thinking about it so hopefully it helps you like it does me. Matt 18:3 Jesus talks about having faith like a child. Well, children are completely careless.. They don’t ask mom “Where am I going to school next year, what will we do if dad gets let go of his job?” They live day by day without fear of what is coming next because they have faith that their parents will take care of them. If our Father (Jesus Christ) claims he is taking care of us.. What do we have to fear? Absolutely nothing. Take the all the many verses in the Word that tell us not to be afraid, and that worry is from the devil.. If you believe the Word and apply it to your life. It is possible to live day by day knowing the Christ has a plan and as you listen and follow He will lead you where you need to be. Once I grasped this I cannot explain to you the burden that I let go. Plus the joy and peace I now have in my life. I honestly feel so light and free.. and my heart races with excitement instead of fear at thoughts of the future. 🙂
The Beauty of being His- being free of all worry because you understand He has everything under control.
